If you do suffer from ED, it's important to know that you can do something about it. Deal with impotence, there is no need to sacrifice your sex life for the sake of embarrassment or unwillingness to communicate and seek help.
The treatment of ED has become very easy and straightforward in recent years by the introduction of oral prescription erectile dysfunction treatments. These treatments for erectile dysfunction all work on the same principle of increasing blood flow to the penis. However, they have some differences, primarily absorption times and duration of effectiveness.
There are currently three prescription medicines available on the market:
Cialis (tadalafil): available in 10mg and 20mg strengths.
Levitra (vardenafil): available in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg strengths.
Viagra (sildenafil): available in 25mg, 50mg and 100mg strengths.

In rare cases, PH5 inhibitors can prove ineffectual. If this happens, there are other options available. The following is a list of other treatments for ED:
Injections: Involves injecting a drug directly into the shaft of the penis
Transurethral therapy: Involves inserting a small pellet of a drug,, via the urethra (the tube through which urine is passed) using a special disposable applicator.
Vacuum pumps: A device involving a plastic cylinder and pump is used to make blood rush to your penis, enlarging it in a similar way to an erection. When you remove the pump, the erection is sustained by slipping a tension ring around the base of the penis.
Hormone treatment: A small proportion of cases of erectile dysfunction are caused by a reduced level of the male sex hormone testosterone which can be restored by appropriate hormone replacement. You must confirm a deficiency prior to talking treatment.
Penile prosthesis: There are two types of implant. The semi-rigid type keeps the penis rigid all the time but lets you bend it downwards when you're not having sex. The hydraulic type is more sophisticated and causes the penis to stiffen when a pump (implanted in the scrotum) is activated.
Surgical treatment: A few cases of impotence are caused by abnormalities in blood flow in and out of the penis and can be treated with surgery.
Psychosexual therapy: When psychological factors or relationship problems are considered to be the cause of your impotence, a course of sex therapy or couples therapy might be recommended. Therapy's very useful in helping you to re-establish a sexual relationship with your partner when there's been a long period without sex.
